Maggie Carter is the Global Lead for Amazon’s Web Services Global Social Impact Team! Leading a team with endless possibilities and potential, she focuses on identifying trends and incubation solutions through the implementation of Amazon’s technology and services.
The Global Social Impact Team focuses on disaster response, rights and equity, and global public health. Maggie’s principles emphasize helping others and giving back to the community. She finds great satisfaction in helping people in many different ways and making a positive impact on their lives. Maggie leads projects that promote health, food, and all types of equity around the world. Some of her projects include the use of telehealth and telemedicine tools to maximize health information availability.
She’s also worked with organizations such as the American Red Cross to lend Amazon’s cloud services in moments of natural crises. Before joining Amazon Web Services, Maggie served in a number of senior social impact roles including Vice President for Corporate Partnerships at UNICEF USA and Deputy Director of the Shot@Life campaign at the United Nations Foundation.
