WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP DAY ORGANIZATION IS A GLOBAL MOVEMENT TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE AND SUPPORT WOMEN IN BUSINESS WORLDWIDE!
We would be honored if you would become a member and join us at the United Nations on November 17th to celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WEDO)! WE are a grassroots mission with a focused goal to alleviate poverty by empowering, celebrating and supporting women in business, and inspire every woman young and old globally that has a dream of becoming a successful businesswoman.
Why Join Us?
With a variety of calendar days dedicated to various causes across the globe, one might ask – Why does the world need Women’s Entrepreneurship Day/ ChooseWOMEN and why should I support it? First, consider some basic facts — women account for 85 percent of consumer purchases and control $20 trillion in worldwide spending. At the same time, they perform 66 percent of the world’s work and only earn 10 percent of the world’s income.
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WEDO) is a movement that carries throughout the year in support of women in business globally. WED ignites women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to initiate startups, drive economic expansion, and advance communities worldwide.
WEDO is passionately dedicated and committed to elevating the following five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to make the world a better place: Goal 1: Ensure inclusive and quality education. Goal 2: Achieve gender equality. Goal 8: Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all. Goal 17: Revitalize global partnership for sustainable development.
WEDO is celebrated in 144 countries and 65 universities/colleges internationally! The WEDO mission is to empower the 4 billion women across the globe to be catalysts of change, and uplift the 250 million girls living in poverty globally.
