Are you a student who has demonstrated achievement, commitment to excellence, and passion for growth?
If yes, you make the perfect fit for our WEDO Student Ambassador program!
As a Student Ambassador, you will create in your university our world-wide initiatives to educate the world why it’s so important to empower women in business – Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO), and our international digital campaign #ChooseWomen!
By joining Women’s Entrepreneurship Day as a student ambassador or recommending a possible ambassador, you will join us to bring awareness to the 250 million girls living in poverty globally that deserve to be given a chance in life, while inspiring and empowering women in business around the world.
“Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Is Everyday – Empower, Celebrate and Support Women In Business.” -Wendy Diamond, Founder
The following are ways our WEDO Ambassadors make a difference on campus:
Be an Ambassador for WEDO & #ChooseWOMEN: Throughout the year and especially leading up to and on November 19th. Student ambassadors rally and convene with existing student business clubs, women’s groups and/or local chapters to collaborate and find solutions in critical areas of entrepreneurship eco-systems, education and policy creation to empower women in business on campus.
Be our Spokesperson, Rally the press on campus! You represent our movement! Rally the media behind your initiatives with your WEDO promotional activity to enhance our visibility and movement!
Create, organize or co-organize the WED event on your campus The WEDO movement is celebrated on November 19th(the officially proclaimed day) so plan your summit on November 19th or within the week! Rally your professors, fellow students, clubs and organizations on campus! Create a team to help you fundraise, market and make an impact with your WEDO summit on campus!
Create partnerships, collaborate and enhance synergies with prominent stakeholders with University Officials, Civil Society, Academia, and Entrepreneurship Groups, Women’s Groups, and Foundations and the Media, to support and attend WEDO events year-round.
Create an advisory board of politicians, prominent business people and public figures — anyone who can help you as a student ambassador to create a larger impact to empower women on your campus! We are here to give you more information and support through this process.
Provide us with bi-annual briefs (December and June) as well as such other updates we may request. If there are any local elections or interesting survey statistics on women related issues released, we want to know about it!
